A
dependent
clause, as the
name indicates, cannot stand alone. It is combined with a
main clause to express a complete idea.
While the main clause
has regular word order, the
verb in the
dependent clause is always at the
end
of the clause.

Please note that the order of the main clause and the dependent clause can be reversed, but then the verb in the main clause follows the comma:
Weil sie gesund essen wollen, essen viele Studierende Obst.
Dass die Mensen Bioprodukte anbieten, weiß ich.
